by Michael H. Brownstein
threads of grass
thin as hair,
breath thick with light,
a path, stone,
one dark green river
silk weed and thorn.
light snuggles into the green,
rough hewn and knotted,
thick and crusted,
the softness of color,
the threadbare,
threads of grass.
